Impressive results for Monster Energy Triumph Factory Racing at MXGP of Switzerland
Racing Triumph Motorcycles 22nd apr 2025

Monster Energy Triumph Factory Racing’s Camden McLellan and Guillem Farres have placed fifth and sixth, respectively, at round six of the 2025 MX2 World Championship in Switzerland. Their strong performances highlight both the riders’ capabilities — especially with this Grand Prix marking Farres’ return from injury — and the competitiveness of their TF 250-X machines.

The sixth round of the MX2 World Championship took place in Frauenfeld, in northern Switzerland. The fast racetrack developed unrelenting ruts and braking bumps, creating a technical and demanding circuit, but it was one that both riders clearly enjoyed.

Following his maiden race victory last weekend in Italy, McLellan was excited to be competing again so soon after his debut moto win. In race one, he moved forward from sixth on lap one to fourth by mid-race, and then set about chasing after the leaders. Camden quickly reeled in Liam Everts in third and Kay de Wolf in second, however, he was unable to find a way through and settled for fourth.

McLellan couldn’t quite execute his strong race one start in moto two. Running just inside the top 10 early on, the 20-year-old could only reach seventh as the drying racetrack became difficult to pass on. On the day, Camden placed fifth overall and moves up to sixth in the series standings.

Farres made a welcome return to racing in Switzerland. Showing he’d lost none of his raw speed, or fitness, the Spaniard delivered two consistent rides. Guillem placed seventh in the opening moto before following that up with eighth in race two. The overall result marks Farres’ career-best finish in MX2, with the points secured moving him up to 16th in the championship, despite missing three rounds.

Following an excellent weekend in Switzerland, Monster Energy Triumph Factory Racing now heads to the MXGP of Portugal on May 3-4, focused on building upon its strong performance at the Swiss GP.

Camden McLellan

“It’s been a good weekend here in Switzerland. It was a really technical track, but I felt great on the bike and really comfortable out there. My speed was good, and in race one I was really close to a top three finish. However, in race two, my first lap wasn’t great, and that left me with a lot of work to do. I came back to seventh for fifth overall, so that’s not too bad. It’s been a positive weekend again for myself and the team, and I’m excited for Portugal in two weeks’ time.”

Guillem Farres

“That’s my first race back done, and I’m really happy to be back at the races with the team. The goal this weekend was to get a result to build from, and I think I did that. I finished 11th in the qualifying race, and then in race one today I placed seventh. In the second moto, I was running sixth for a while but finished eighth for sixth overall. It’s been a solid weekend here in Switzerland with plenty of positives to take away, and the aim is to be even stronger in Portugal.”

Vincent Bereni – Monster Energy Triumph Factory Racing Team Manager

“For the whole team, it was great to have both riders racing this weekend. The results were really good too, with Camden fifth and Guillem sixth. It was a great comeback ride by Guillem this weekend after a little time off. Camden’s speed was good again, he was just a little bit unfortunate to lose his helmet peak early in race two. But that’s racing. With how the riders performed this weekend, it’s only a matter of time until we’re back on the podium again.”
