A unique update and a major engine development for this exciting Thruxton introduces an RS model that delivers 8PS more power, 112Nm peak torque lower down in the rev range and more responsiveness than ever before to this iconic motorcycle legend.
The Thruxton RS has all the hallmarks, features and quality of Triumph’s celebrated Thruxton R, together with even more intuitive agile handling, more contemporary style, and unique finishes & detailing.
A dedicated sports-focused chassis combines with a high specification suspension, race derived tyres and premium Brembo M50 front brake set-up and upgraded rider technologies, to create a truly exciting modern sports Thruxton ride. Topping-up its incredible equipment, the significantly updated Thruxton 1200cc high power parallel twin engine is now more responsive, has more peak power (105PS @ 7,500 rpm) and delivers 112Nm of torque 700rpm lower in the rev range.
Everything about this incredible motorbike has been honed to enhance the Thruxton’s celebrated reputation and take Triumph’s cafe racing pedigree to the next level. With the RS model, the legend evolves.
THRUXTON RS HIGHLIGHTS
SIGNIFICANTLY UPGRADED THRUXTON RS ENGINE
Engine upgrades include lightweight low inertia crankshaft, clutch, balance shafts, rare-earth alternator, magnesium cam cover, thin-walled engine covers, as well as high compression pistons, revised ports and cam profile, and secondary air system. Together, these deliver an incredible 20% reduction of inertia and a Thruxton engine that revs harder for longer.

With 105 PS peak power @ 7,500 rpm (which is 8PS more than the previous Thruxton), the Thruxton RS delivers thrilling cafe racer performance with more power low down and across the entire rev range.
PEAK TORQUE LOWER DOWN
The peak torque (112 Nm @ 4,250 rpm) of the Thruxton RS is now delivered 700 rpm lower in the rev range, offering an exceptional thrilling ride.
LIGHTER BY 6Kg
Weight savings have been achieved through engine upgrades that include magnesium cam cover and thin-walled engine covers and a lighter weight battery.
HIGHER SPECIFICATION BREMBO M50 BRAKES
Enhanced stopping power with better initial bite, better feel and better fade characteristics come from a higher specification brakes set-up: Brembo 4-piston M50 radial monobloc calipers, twin 320mm floating Brembo discs, and Brembo master cylinder.
FULLY ADJUSTABLE ÖHLINS SUSPENSION
The Thruxton RS enjoys a unique premium rear suspension set-up, with fully adjustable Öhlins piggy-back rear suspension units that contribute to that engaged and thrilling cafe racer ride.
RACE-BRED ADJUSTABLE SHOWA FORKS
Premium high spec adjustable Showa USD big piston forks are tuned and set-up to deliver sharp handling that really delivers on
its cafe racer looks, and enhances Triumph’s signature ride dynamics of neutrality, agility and stability.
WHEELS & TYRES
The Thruxton RS features Metzeler Racetec RR tyres offer incredible grip, trajectory precision and high speed stability, and are fitted to lightweight 17” aluminium 32-spoke wheel rims.
UPGRADED RIDING MODES
The Thruxton RS’s enhanced three riding modes – Road, Rain and Sport – can now be changed at the touch of a button to adjust the throttle response and traction control settings that suit riding conditions and rider preference.
BLACKED-OUT STYLING
Incredible black details and finishes include powder-coated engine covers, cam cover and sprocket cover finishes, Öhlins RSU springs, Thruxton side panel and sprocket cover with integrated heel guard, plus premium black anodised wheels and wheel rims.
DEEP RICH TRIUMPH TRIPLE ROAR
Significant Street Triple RS engine updates deliver improved performance and better responsiveness. There’s also a crisper, purer and more refined soundtrack from the twin catalyst system and new silencer with carbon fibre finisher.
